French Toast with Caramelized Apples

INGREDIENTS:

  • sourdough bread

  • organic eggs

  • dash of pumpkin pie spice

  • splash of cashew milk

  • splash of vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp. ghee + some for frying

  • apple cubes

  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Melt some ghee in a frying pan.

  2. In a small bowl, beat together 1 egg, a dash of pumpkin pie spice, a splash of cashew milk, and a splash of vanilla extract.

  3. Dip a few slices of bread into the egg mixture, and fry in ghee.

  4. While french toast is cooking, melt 1 tbsp. of ghee in a separate sauce pan. Add 2 tbsp. of brown sugar and peeled and cubed apples.

  5. Bring sauce to a boil and then pour over a stack of french toast.
